Producers
Somehow 2 guys from the Philadelphia area ended up producing documentaries in Connecticut...
Marc Kinderman
Emmy and Peabody award-winning producer
From Philadelphia...Marc began his television career with ESPN in 1993. After working on several network studio shows as a production assistant and associate producer, he joined the landmark SportsCentury project in 1997. In its countdown series, 50 Greatest Athletes, he brought the famed Bobby Orr, Martina Navratilova and Ted Williams to life on screen. Venturing on his own as co-founder of Orange Lion Productions in 2000, he has produced a wide variety of content, with consistently high standards. Amongst his productions are biographies on the lives of the NBA stars Pete Maravich and Charles Barkley, recording sensations Deborah Harry and Pat Benatar, and a two-hour retrospective on music promoter Bill Graham, which A&E chose as their spotlighted 1000th episode. In 2006, he combined his interests in sports and music on the acclaimed Ali Rap show for ESPN Original Entertainment. Marc has also worked with the newest technology, HDTV, producing shows in high-definition for ESPN on Pedro Martinez and Larry Brown. Although primarily spending his time in high-end edit facilities, Marc is Avid trained for smaller-budget productions. And his work is not limited to television—having developed projects for the University of Oklahoma and the Center for the Study of Sport in Society at Northeastern University. Marc lives outside New Haven, CT with his wife Naomi and son Adam. He graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communication in 1993.
Scott Henry
Emmy and Peabody award-winning producer
From Easton, PA...Scott is a self-admitted sports "junkie" who began his post-college career in the media relations office of the New York Yankees. After segueing to the equally unforgiving world of television production, he found his niche in feature-work for several ESPN shows before finding his true passion on the 50 Greatest Athlete series, as part of ESPN's SportsCentury series. Upon the completion of the award-winning project, Scott joined forces with Marc to form Orange Lion Productions. They continued on the SportsCentury series for the first several years, as Scott's highlights included the Dan Gable and Jim Thorpe programs. Breaking that "sit-down" mold, he became involved with The Season series for ESPN Original Entertainment, producing 10 of the cinéma vérité and quick-turnaround episodes. In 2002, work on a 2-hour documentary for the University of New Mexico, entitled Colors of Courage, greatly affected his career focus. The program, featuring the incredible stories of the 200th Coast Artillery in the Philippines during World War II, received great praise for its emotional storytelling, and opened up Scott's eyes to the broad array of human stories present in all facets of life. Since that time, he has directed and produced two more war documentaries, each focusing on the spirit of brave soldiers willing to sacrifice their lives to save others. And in 2006, Scott shot and produced an out-of–pocket short film documenting a week of Hurricane Katrina clean-up in Mississippi. Later that year, Scott served as series producer for the signature series Soul of a Champion on Versus. He lives in Fairfield, CT, with his wife, Sandy. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 1991 with bachelor's degrees in Broadcast/Cable and Business Management.
